KHAMAN DHOKLA


Ingredients:(serving-4)
  1. Gits Khaman Dhokla Mix
  2. 3tbsp Oil
  3. 1/2tsp Mustard seeds
  4. 1/2tsp Cumin seeds
  5. 1pinch Asafoetida
  6. Green Chilli as par taste
  7. 1tbsp Sugar
  8. 1/8tsp Salt
  9. 3tbsp Water
  10. 2tbsp Coconut Flakes
  11. Coriander leaves for Garnishing
  12. Cranberries or Grapes for Garnishing
Directions:
  • Open Gits Khaman Dhokla Mix pack & prepare the batter following the 1st step given in the Pack.
  •  Boil around 2 cups of water in Dhokla Maker or you can use Cooker.
  • Grease the plate with oil or cooking spray & pour the batter in the plates.Batter should be pour half the height of the plate.
  • Put the plates in Dhokla Maker,cover the lid & steam it for 10 to 12minutes.If you are using a pressure cooker,do not apply whistle on the lid.
  • Mean while dissolve sugar & salt in 3tbsp water. Also, cut chillies split in to two. 
  • After 10 to 12minutes,turn of the heat, remove plats from Dhokla Maker & let the plats sit a side for 5minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan.Add musterd seeds,Cumin seeds & allow them to crackle.Add green chillis,add asafoetida & turn off the heat.
  • Now cut the Dhokala & add in the seasoning pan.Mix gently.
  • Sprinkle dissolved water & again mix gently.  
  • Transfer Dhokla in a serving bowl,garnish with cilantro,coconut flakes & berries. 
  • Serve warm. 



STUFFED PUFF PASTRY SHELLS



Ingredients:(serving-6)
  1. 1pkt Pepperidge Farm ready to bake puff pastry shells
  2. 1 big boiled Potato
  3. 1/2cup boiled Black eye Beans
  4. 2tbsp Chopped Onion
  5. 1tbsp Oil
  6. 1pinch Asafoetida
  7. Green Chilli as par taste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/4tspRed Chilli Powder or per taste
  10. 1/4tsp Garam Masala  
  11. 1pinch Turmeric
  12. 1/2tsp Cumin Coriander Powder
  13. 1/4tsp Lime Juice
  14. 6slice of each Tomato,Onion,Dill pickle & Raw Mango for Garnishing 
  15. Coriander leaves for Garnishing
Directions:
  • Bake the pastry shells according to package directions & keep a side.
  • Mash the boiled potato & black eye beans together.
  • In a medium size pan,heat oil & add asafoetida.
  • Add mashed potato & black eye beans mixture to the hot oil.
  • Add green chillies,lime juice & all the spices.
  • Mix well & cook it for 2minutes.
  • Turn of the heat, add chopped onion & again mix well.
  •  Now remove shells tops from baked pastry shells.
  • Add spoonful of potato & black eye beans stuffing in to the shells.
  • Garnish with Tomato,Onion,Dill pickle, Raw Mango slices & Coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot. 
 
 
 CRISPY BHINDI FRY




Ingredients:(serving-4)
  1. 1lb Okra
  2. 1/4cup Gram Flour  
  3. 1tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  4. 1tbsp Cumin-Coriander Powder
  5. Salt to Taste
  6. 2tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  7. Oil for frying 
Directions:
  • Clean the okra with wet kitchen towel & slice them in to 1/4-inch pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl add sliced okra,add red chilli powder,cumin-coriander powder,salt & vinegar.Mix well & keep a side for 2-3minutes.
  • Now heat the oil for deep frying.
  • After 2-3minutes sprinkle gram flour to the okra mix(You may need more or less flour).
  • Drop okra cuts in to hot oil & fry them on medium flame till they are slightly golden brown in color.
  • Take out fried okra on paper towel & if you like you can sprinkle some chat masala on it.
  • Serve hot.
